JoAnn is a lifelong learner & educator with a passion for assisting people in their endeavors. For 21 years, she has been working as a School Counselor. For 18 years, she has worked in a Special Education School in NY. Beyond the School Counseling role, JoAnn spent equal time in a wellness role. She was a coach and fitness instructor. Through activities, strength & conditioning she infused her passion and education. In December of 2020, JoAnn completed an Advanced Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals. This certification supports a whole body approach to mental health disorders, utilizing multiple fields of medicine and nutritional sciences. JoAnn, she will guide you in discovering how nutritional and integrative medicine can alleviate symptoms and support mental health. The brain and body, requires a constant supply of fuel, the “fuel” is what comes from the food and nutrients. This certification will help JoAnn, assist patients to regain mental wellness through the use of individualized assessments, nutritional counseling and dietary interventions.
